I am a 77 yr old with interstitial cystitis. I'm taking Elmiron. What treatment is best for someone my age with this condition?

There are many options for any person with IC. Certainly, age may play a part but should generally not restrict treatment. Since IC symptoms vary, treatment can be guided towards a patient's complaint. For example, use an overactive bladder medication if they have urgency or use bladder instillations if they have irritating symptoms like pain or burning.
